Here is more info about the organic coating:

Mix "N' Ball products are some of the most consumer safe   friendly products on the planet. Along with never adding colors of any kind, Mix 'N' Ball uses a special electrical process and procedure - known as organic anodizing - to layer a toxin-free, protective coating on all of our products.

The coating, is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. It increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal.

Anodization changes the microscopic texture of the surface and can change the crystal structure of the metal near the surface.

Mix n Ball products are different from many of those on the market. Most products on the market are made from brass (highly toxic) , iron, raw aluminum and now chromium and zinc. You - as a consumer - should understand how these products can potentially be harmful to your health and well-being. The following information (courtesy of Wikipedia) is presented to you by Mix n Ball so that you may make educated decisions in the future:

Chromium made grinders:

Chromium metal and chromium(III) compounds are not usually considered health hazards; chromium is an essential trace mineral.[40] However, hexavalent chromium (chromium(VI)) compounds can be toxic if ingested or inhaled. The lethal dose of poisonous chromium(VI) compounds is about one half teaspoon of material. Most chromium(VI) compounds are irritating to eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Chronic exposure to chromium(VI) compounds can cause permanent eye injury, unless properly treated. Chromium(VI) is an established humancarcinogen. An actual investigation into hexavalent chromium release into drinking water was used as the plot-basis of the motion picture Erin Brockovich.

Zinc (found in brass and chromium)

Even though zinc is an essential requirement for a healthy body, excess zinc can be harmful. Excessive absorption of zinc suppresses copper and iron absorption.[122] The free zinc ion in solution is highly toxic to plants, invertebrates, and even vertebrate fish.[123] The Free Ion Activity Model (FIAM) is well-established in the literature, and shows that just micromolaramounts of the free ion kills some organisms. A recent example showed 6 micromolar killing 93% of all Daphnia in water.[124]

Brass

Brass is any alloy of copper and zinc; the proportions of zinc and copper can be varied to create a range of brasses with varying properties.[1] In comparison, bronze is principally an alloy of copper and tin.[2] Despite this distinction, some types of brasses are called bronzes. Brass is a substitutional alloy. It is used for decoration for its bright gold-like appearance; for applications where low friction is required such as locks, gears, bearings, doorknobs, ammunition, and valves; for plumbing and electrical applications; and extensively inmusical instruments such as horns and bells for its acoustic properties. It is also used in zippers.

since brass mostly contains zinc ..... you can figure out for your self.

Iron

Fresh iron surfaces are lustrous and silvery-grey in color, but oxidise in air to form a red or brown coating offerrous oxide or rust.

"Excessive iron can be toxic, because free ferrous iron reacts with peroxides to produce free radicals, which are highly reactive and can damage DNA, proteins, lipids, and other cellular components. Thus, iron toxicity occurs when there is free iron in the cell, which generally occurs when iron levels exceed the capacity of transferrin to bind the iron.

do we need to say more?

Titanium

Titanium (pronounced /taɪˈteɪniəm/) is a chemical element with the symbol Ti and atomic number 22. Sometimes called the “space age metal”, it has a low density and is a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant (including to sea wateraqua regia and chlorine)transition metal with a silver color. Titanium can be alloyed with ironaluminiumvanadiummolybdenum, among other elements, to produce strong lightweight alloys for aerospace (jet enginesmissiles, and spacecraft), military, industrial process (chemicals and petro-chemicals, desalination plants, pulp, and paper), automotive, agri-food, medical prostheses, orthopedic implants, dental and endodontic instruments and files, dental implants, sporting goods, jewelry, mobile phones, and other applications.

Because the metal reacts with oxygen at high temperatures it cannot be produced by reduction of its dioxide.[9] Titanium metal is therefore produced commercially by the Kroll process, a complex and expensive batch process

In fact, about two thirds of all titanium metal produced is used in aircraft engines and frames.

There are no titanium herb grinder made anywhere in the world, who ever claims to have a titanium grinder simply lies.
